Our Approach

We were initially contacted by the homeowners to design a simple patio and fire pit, but as soon as we met we knew they wanted more! The design quickly grew to include an outdoor kitchen, privacy wall, edible garden, and of course a custom fire feature with plenty of patio space. It was important to keep the clients’ two large dogs in mind while designing, as they like to use the side yard for afternoon naps.

After only a few minor changes to the design, the homeowners loved our concept and how we combined the husband’s “West Elm” style with the wife’s “Pottery Barn” preference. A particular favorite of theirs was the custom scotch bottle pendant lights, inspired by the homeowners affinity for the fine beverage. It only took about four weeks from the time we broke ground to the first sip of scotch next to the warmth of the fire!
