Leah Roesler – Partner
is a true Wisconsin girl, having grown up near Milwaukee and obtaining a B.S. in International Agriculture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She particularly enjoyed the Landscape Architecture and design related courses she studied while there. Upon graduating in 2008 Leah relocated to Jacksonville, where she continues to put down roots. She is enjoying her fourth year as Beautification Chair on the board of the San Marco Merchants Association. Leah is honored to be chair of the FNGLA 2020 Annual Convention. She has been serving on the planning committee for the FNGLA Northeast Chapter’s Jacksonville Landscape Show since 2013, and in 2017 transitioned to the role of co-chair. This is her second year serving on the FNGLA Marketing & Membership Committee.
Nothing is more important to Leah than making people happy. It is her goal to ensure each design Cascade Outdoor Design produces is one which the homeowners absolutely love. Leah will be there every step of the way to take your design from the beginning conceptual stage to a fabulous new space for you to enjoy.
Mike Farnsworth – Partner
has been designing and building outdoor living spaces in Jacksonville for nearly two decades. He has worked on projects from St. Marys, GA to Ortega, to Palm Coast, and everywhere in between. Mike particularly enjoys working on unique water features, including inside people’s homes, and strives to make each design not only beautiful and full of character, but also functional and maintenance free. His hands-on experience with everything from welding fabrication, to stone masonry and carpentry allow him the opportunity to push the boundaries of design to create truly one-of-a-kind spaces.
Mike prides himself on his attention to detail and doing things the “right” way. He carefully oversees the construction of each project to ensure homeowners get an end product they will be able to enjoy for years to come.
Buddy Hale – Landscape Designer
comes from a long line of ranchers, farmers, and citrus growers, including founding members of the cities of Lee and Madison, FL. Buddy is a graduate of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, followed by the Kansas City Art Institute where he studied Painting, Sculpture, Installation, and Design. He moved back to Jacksonville to begin his career, in time working for such notable companies as Sally Corporation, Mugwump Productions, PRI Productions, Creative Environs (now Attraction and Entertainment Solutions), and Pizzazz Scenic Contractors. Buddy continues to work as a successful and acclaimed mural painter, sculptor, and artist via commissioned works he creates under his company Noblelements Arts and Design. His love of the outdoors turned into a second career in landscaping and landscape design with Trad’s Garden Center, Rockaway, and Mulch Masters. Connections made in the industry ultimately led Buddy to Cascade, where he is able to blend his artistic talents with his horticultural knowledge.
In addition to painting, Buddy also enjoys going on adventures with his wife, Kelly, and sons Dallas and Austin, crafting and shooting handmade bow and arrows, managing his beautiful garden, and surfing. His love of nature and affinity for the arts are apparent in each of his designs, which result in landscapes that not only blend seamlessly with the overall aesthetic, but also thrive with as little maintenance as possible.
